Glòries Catalanes Square. 2014 AFB. Darius Koehli

The Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona works to create a space open to all as a means of publicising its photographic collection.

The AFB wishes to aid research on the history of the city of Barcelona and the history of photography and fosters collaboration with other public and private entities to develop photographic projects that disseminate knowledge of photography.

The AFB undertakes dissemination by organising diverse activities and since its exhibition area opened in 2006, it has organised activities around its temporary exhibitions, such as routes, lectures and guided visits for visitors of all ages.

Activities: conferences, activities for families, workshops, itineraries, guided visits for diferent collectives like students or for groups to the archive installations and to the temporal exhibitions.
